Marquell Fraser

Head Coach/Trainer

Marquell Fraser, a distinguished basketball player and scholar, originates from Hamilton, Ontario. Boasting three AAA Ontario Basketball Association championships and representing Team Canada in the FIBA Championships, Fraser's athletic achievements are remarkable. His educational journey includes attending Virginia Commonwealth University, Midland College, the University of Idaho, and the University of Detroit Mercy, where he is on his way to completing his Master's degree in Finance and Economics. Fraser's diverse academic background mirrors his unwavering dedication and work ethic, both on and off the court.

Xzennis Brereton

Coach/Trainer 

Xzennis Brereton was a talented basketball player whose journey through the sport has been marked by remarkable achievements. Having honed his skills at Oakwood Collegiate Institute, he made a significant impact during his time there, contributing to the team’s success in winning multiple regionals and AAAA OFFSAA championships during his grade 11 year. Brereton’s dedication and skill on the court paved the way for a career in professional basketball overseas. His prowess and commitment to the sport allowed him to transition seamlessly into the professional leagues, showcasing his talent on an international stage. His journey is a testament to his passion for the game and his ability to excel at the highest levels of competition Xzennis immersed himself in various basketball preparatory schools across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), displaying his dedication to the sport extended beyond playing; he contributed significantly as a coach and trainer within these programs, sharing his expertise and shaping the skills of aspiring athletes. Moreover, Xzennis delved into content management related to basketball, leveraging his experiences to create impactful and insightful content. His multifaceted involvement in playing, coaching, and content creation exemplifies his commitment to basketball's growth and development, showcasing his diverse talents and deep-rooted dedication

Jaylen Clarke 

Coach/Trainer 

Jaylen Clarke, a dedicated coach and trainer with HQ Elite, brings a wealth of basketball expertise rooted in his experience as a former Usports player at both Cape Breton University and Memorial University of Newfoundland. Currently enrolled at Fanshawe for Music Industry & Arts starting this September, Jaylen's commitment to personal and professional growth is evident.

His passion for nurturing young talent is showcased through his two years of active involvement with the Elevate Development program in St. John's, Newfoundland. During this period, Jaylen played a pivotal role in training and mentoring aspiring athletes, emphasizing not only the development of basketball skills but also fostering personal growth.

Looking ahead, Jaylen Clarke is dedicated to continuing his mission of imparting basketball knowledge to the next generation. His goal is to contribute to the success of young individuals both on and off the courts, aligning with HQ Elite's commitment to holistic player development. With a strong foundation in Usports basketball, ongoing education, and a genuine passion for mentorship, Jaylen Clarke exemplifies the values and dedication essential to the HQ Elite coaching team.
